The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the nation. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug given are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs that help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted clients.
