It too is taken on a daily basis, and costs about $450 monthly. Naltrexone is another med taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs aforementioned it's an opioid blocker and isn't an opioid. There is an option to take this drug as a monthly shot, which is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents someone from experience being high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily shot costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 monthly.
