Military Insurance - Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs - Mansfield, OH.

The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retired military who are 60 years of age or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to civilian health care providers within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can choose a primary doctor and get referrals to health care services that offer specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, members of the military can receive substance abuse treatment services in Mansfield. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other various rehab services. They will need pre-authorization for services and there are likely to be some limitations. Military insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient, but stays for detoxification are restricted to 7 days. Partial hospitalization or impatient treatment following detoxification will only be authorized if it is an approved treatment center, and there are time restrictions as to how long military insurance carriers will be permitted to stay in rehab.
