It too is taken every day, and costs approximately $450 a month. Naltrexone is another med used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned here it's an opioid blocker and is not an opiate. A person has the choice to take this drug as a monthly shot, which is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents an individual from experience high feelings from opioids, and in turn lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs anywhere from $1000 to $1200 /month.
