Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation program that is less than intensive out-patient and more intensive than normal outpatient rehab. When someone is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they typically take part in services anywhere from three to five days per week. It is similar to an in-patient treatment program in many important ways, including the fact that people will get access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological challenges they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hours on the days that clients participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will get personalized addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, get any required medical care and address any of the mental health problems that are triggering their drug and alcohol addiction.
