Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient alcohol and drug rehab program that is less than intensive outpatient and more intensive than regular out-patient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help clients who need intensive rehab for a dual-diagnosis disorder, but do not need 24 hour supervision and care. For a client who has completed inpatient rehab, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Panama could help them make the transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free way of life as a viable "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then phase over to regular out-patient care.
When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment center, they typically take part in services anywhere from three to five days per week. It is like an in-patient program in many important ways, including the fact that individuals will get access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can address the psychological, emotional, and physical issues they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hrs on the days that clients attend partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will get personalized addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, receive any needed medical care and deal with any of the mental health symptoms that trigger their drug and alcohol addiction.
