Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment program that is less than intensive out-patient and more intensive than regular outpatient rehabilitation. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help individuals who may need intensive rehabilitation for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but don't need twenty-four hour supervision and care. For a client who has finished inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in The Village could be of help to them make the transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free way of life as a viable "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then phase over to regular out-patient treatment.
When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment facility, they commonly take part in services anywhere from three to five days per week. It is like an inpatient program in many important ways, including the fact that individuals will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological issues they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hrs on the days that people participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive personalized addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, get any required medical care and deal with any of the mental health issues that trigger their drug and alcohol addiction.
