Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for health benefits for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
