Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and those required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
