It too is taken every day, and costs around $450 monthly. Naltrexone is another med used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs aforementioned it's an opiate blocker and isn't an opioid. A person has the choice to take this drug as a monthly injection, which is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents an individual from experience being high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs anywhere from $1000 to $1200 a month.
