Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient addiction rehabilitation program which is less than intensive out-patient and more intensive than regular outpatient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help people who may need intensive rehab for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not need around the clock supervision and treatment. When someone is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they commonly participate in services anywhere from three to five days per week. It is very much like an in-patient treatment program in many important ways, including the fact that clients will get access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological issues they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hours on the days that clients attend partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive personalized addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, get any needed medical care and address any of the mental health issues that are triggering their alcohol and drug addiction.
