Military Insurance - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Facilities - Lancaster, PA.

The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides insurance benefits for retired military who are 60 years of age or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to non-military health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can select a primary doctor and get referrals to organizations that provide specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, military members can obtain substance abuse treatment services in Lancaster. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other various rehab services. They will need pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some limitations. Military insurance pays for both outpatient and inpatient, but stays for detoxification are restricted to no more than 7 days. Partial hospitalization or impatient treatment following detox will only be authorized if it is a Tricare approved treatment center, and there are time limits as to how long military members will be permitted to stay in treatment. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is usually accepted. In additional to this, there are 15 family therapy sessions and 60 group therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which occur on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has completed other treatment services such as inpatient or outpatient treatment.
