Military Insurance - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities - Oneida, PA.

The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers insurance benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, as well as any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to civilian health care professionals within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can pick a primary care physician and get referrals to organizations that offer specialty care.

Through TRICARE, military members can obtain substance abuse treatment services in Oneida. This encompasses detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other various recovery services. They will need pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some limitations. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but inpatient services for detoxification are restricted to 7 days. Partial hospitalization or impatient treatment following detox will only be authorized if it is a Tricare approved treatment center, and there are time limits as to how long military insurance carriers will be allowed to remain in rehab. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is typically allowed. Additionally, there are 15 family therapy sessions and 60 group therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which take place on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has finished prior treatment services such as outpatient or inpatient treatment.
