Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient substance abuse treatment program which is just below intensive out-patient and more intensive than normal out-patient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help people who need intensive rehabilitation for a dual-diagnosis disorder, but do not need 24 hour supervision and care. For a client who has finished inpatient rehab, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in St. Johns could be of help to them transition more easily into a drug-free way of life as a "step-down" option. When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment center, they commonly take part in services anywhere from 3-5 days per week. It is like an inpatient treatment program in many important ways, including the fact that individuals will get access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can address the psychological, emotional, and physical issues they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hours on the days that individuals attend partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive one-on-one addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, get any necessary medical care and address any of the mental health issues that are triggering their alcohol and drug addiction.
