Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers - Newport, RI.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need substance abuse rehab in Newport, Medicare may cover various rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain kinds of treatment.

Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the costs associated with outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation. This includes outpatient care, therapy, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for clients who want supplemental coverage aside from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C can have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
