Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs - Olar, SC.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehab in Olar, Medicare can pay for certain treatment programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various forms of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the individual's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient substance abuse treatment. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression or anxiety and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for individuals who want additional coverage apart from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
