Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient drug and alcohol addiction rehab program which is less than intensive out-patient and more intensive than regular out-patient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help clients who need intensive treatment for a dual-diagnosis disorder, but do not need around the clock supervision and care. For someone who has completed inpatient treatment, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Sinai could be of help to them transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free lifestyle as a viable "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the person could then transition over to regular outpatient care.
When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment center, they commonly take part in services in the range of three to five days per week. It is very much like an in-patient program in many important ways, including the fact that people will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological challenges they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hrs on the days that people attend partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive individual addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, get any necessary medical care and address any of the mental health symptoms that are triggering their drug addiction.
