Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient substance abuse rehab program that is less than intensive out-patient and more intensive than regular outpatient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help clients who may need intensive rehabilitation for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not require twenty-four hour intervention and treatment. For a client who has finished inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Clifton could help them make the transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free lifestyle as a viable "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then transition over to regular out-patient treatment.
When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they commonly participate in services in the range of 3-5 days per week. It is very much like an in-patient treatment program in many significant ways, including the fact that people will have access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can address the psychological, emotional, and physical issues they are trying to conquer. For at least 4-6 hours on the days that people participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive individual addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, receive any needed medical care and deal with any of the mental health issues that are triggering their alcohol and drug addiction.
