Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient substance abuse rehab program that is just below intensive out-patient and more intensive than normal outpatient treatment. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help individuals who need in-depth treatment for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but don't require around the clock supervision and care. For a client who has finished inpatient treatment, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Lancaster could help them transition more easily into a sober way of life as a viable "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then transition into regular out-patient treatment.
When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they commonly participate in services anywhere from three to five days per week. It is like an inpatient program in many important ways, including the fact that people will get access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the psychological, emotional, and physical issues they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hrs on the days that clients participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, they will receive one-on-one addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, receive any needed medical care and deal with any of the mental health problems that are triggering their alcohol and drug addiction.
