It too is taken on a daily basis, and costs approximately $450 per month. Naltrexone is an additional med used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other medications aforementioned it's an opiate blocker and isn't an opioid. There is an option to take this medication as a monthly injection, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents a person from feeling high from opioids, and in turn lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily shot costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 per month.
