Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a kind of out-patient drug and alcohol treatment program which is less than intensive out-patient and more intensive than normal outpatient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help people who need intensive treatment for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but don't require around the clock supervision and care. For a client who has completed inpatient rehab, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Toco could be of help to them transition more easily into a sober lifestyle as a viable "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the person could then phase into regular outpatient treatment.
When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they commonly take part in services in the range of 3-5 days a week. It is very much like an in-patient treatment program in many significant ways, including the fact that clients will get access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can address the physical, emotional and psychological challenges they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hours on the days that clients participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive one-on-one addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, receive any necessary medical care and deal with any of the mental health problems that are triggering their drug and alcohol addiction.
