Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program which is less than intensive out-patient and more intensive than normal out-patient rehabilitation. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help clients who require intensive treatment for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not require around the clock intervention and care. For a client who has completed inpatient treatment, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Wichita Falls could help them transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free way of life as a "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the individual could then phase into regular outpatient treatment.
When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment facility, they typically participate in services in the range of 3-5 days a week. It is very much like an in-patient program in many significant ways, including the fact that people will have access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological issues they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hrs on the days that people attend partial hospitalization day treatment, they will get one-on-one addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, get any necessary medical care and deal with any of the mental health issues that trigger their drug and alcohol addiction.
