The military currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 years of age or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to civilian health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can choose a primary doctor and obtain referrals to health care services that provide specialty care.
By way of TRICARE, military members can receive drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in Springville. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other treatment services. They will require pre-authorization for treatment and there are likely to be some restrictions. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detox are restricted to 7 days.
