Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient alcohol and drug treatment program that is just below intensive out-patient and more intensive than regular outpatient rehabilitation. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help people who may need intense rehab for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but don't require 24 hour supervision and treatment. For a person who has completed inpatient rehab, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Stockton could help them make the transition more easily into a sober way of life as a viable "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then phase over to regular out-patient care.
When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment center, they typically take part in services anywhere from 3-5 days a week. It is similar to an inpatient treatment program in many important ways, including the fact that people will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can address the psychological, emotional, and physical challenges they are trying to conquer. For at least 4-6 hours on the days that clients attend partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive individual addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, receive any required medical care and deal with any of the mental health problems that are triggering their alcohol and drug addiction.
