Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Facilities - Pilot, VA.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and need substance abuse treatment in Pilot, this program can cover certain rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain forms of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

It also covers professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want supplemental health insurance aside from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as those required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
