Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs - Burlington, VT.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require drug or alcohol treatment in Burlington, Medicare may cover various recovery programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various forms of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient addiction treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the fees for outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation. This includes outpatient care, therapy, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and drugs administered by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for people who want additional health insurance aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
