It too is taken every day, and costs about $450 per month. Naltrexone is another drug taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other medications mentioned here it's an opiate blocker and is not an opiate. A person has the choice to take this drug as a monthly injection, which is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents someone from experience high feelings from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 /month.
