It is also taken daily, and is priced around $450 monthly. Naltrexone is an additional med used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned it's an opioid blocker and is not an opiate. There is an option to take this drug as a monthly shot, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents a person from getting high from opioids, and in turn lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily shot costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 a month.
