The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retired military who are 60 years of age or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they go to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to civilian health care providers within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can pick a primary doctor and get referrals to organizations that provide specialty care.
Through TRICARE, members of the military can acquire substance abuse rehabilitation services in Republic. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other various substance abuse recovery services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some restrictions. Military insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient, but inpatient services for detoxification are restricted to no more than 7 days.
