Military Insurance - Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs - Seattle, WA.

The military currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 years of age or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which allows access to non-military health care professionals within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can select a primary care physician and get referrals to organizations that offer specialty care.

Through TRICARE, military members can acquire substance abuse rehabilitation services in Seattle. This encompasses individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other various rehab services. They will require pre-authorization for treatment and there will most likely be some restrictions. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detox are limited to 7 days. An inpatient or partial hospitalization following detox will only be authorized if it is an approved treatment center, and there are time restrictions as to how long military insurance carriers will be allowed to stay in rehab.
