Military Insurance - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Facilities - Brandon, WI.

The armed forces currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides insurance benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to civilian health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can select a primary care physician and obtain referrals to organizations that offer specialty care.

Through TRICARE, members of the military can obtain substance abuse rehabilitation services in Brandon. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other various recovery services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some restrictions. Military insurance covers both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detoxification are restricted to 7 days. Partial hospitalization or impatient treatment following detox will only be authorized if it is an approved treatment center, and there are time restrictions as to how long military members will be allowed to remain in treatment. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is commonly accepted. In additional to this, there are 15 family therapy sessions and 60 group therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which are done on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has finished other rehabilitation services such as outpatient or inpatient treatment.
