Military Insurance - Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centers - Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

The armed forces currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides insurance benefits for retired military who are 60 years of age or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which allows access to civilian health care professionals within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can select a primary doctor and obtain referrals to health care services that offer specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, military members can obtain substance abuse treatment services in Wisconsin Rapids. This encompasses individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other various recovery services. They will require pre-authorization for treatment and there are likely to be some restrictions. Military insurance covers both inpatient and outpatient, but inpatient services for detoxification are limited to no more than 7 days. Partial hospitalization or impatient treatment following detoxification will only be authorized if it is a Tricare approved facility, and there are time limits as to how long military members are allowed to stay in rehab. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is usually permitted. In additional to this, there are 15 family therapy sessions and 60 group therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which occur on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has finished other primary rehabilitation services such as inpatient or outpatient treatment.
