The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers insurance benefits for retired military who are 60 years of age or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to non-military health care providers within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can pick a primary care physician and get referrals to health care services that provide specialty care.
Through TRICARE, members of the military can obtain drug and alcohol treatment services in Clarksburg. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other various treatment services. They will need pre-authorization for treatment and there will most likely be some limitations. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detoxification are restricted to no more than 7 days.
