It too is taken every day, and costs approximately $450 per month. Naltrexone is an additional med taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other medications aforementioned it's an opiate blocker and isn't an opioid. A person has the choice to take this drug as a monthly injection, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents a person from experience high feelings from opioids, and in turn lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs anywhere from $1000 to $1200 /month.
