Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and need addiction rehab in Anchorage, Medicare can cover various rehab programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain forms of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the individual's lifetime.
