The armed forces currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers insurance benefits for retired military who are 60 or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which allows access to non-military health care providers within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can select a primary doctor and get referrals to organizations that provide specialty care.
Through TRICARE, members of the military can obtain substance abuse treatment services in Paris. This encompasses detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other various rehab services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there are likely to be some limitations. Military insurance covers both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detoxification are restricted to 7 days.
