Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs - State University, AR.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol recovery services in State University, this program can pay for certain rehab programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various kinds of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient addiction rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the individual's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the costs associated with outpatient drug and alcohol treatment. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for clients who want supplemental coverage apart from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C can have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
