The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the nation. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
