Halfway House - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers - Challenge, CA.

When a person has rehabilitated from a drug or alcohol addiction, it isn't as simple as starting life again where you left off. Getting back to a stable and happy life takes time and a lot of hard work. A Halfway House, also called a Sober Living Facility, is a setting where people in recovery can live in a clean and positive setting until they can live confidently on their own. Living in a Halfway House may be a requirement of a person's probation for example, or the person may make the decision to live in a Halfway House of their own accord following drug or alcohol rehab. In either case, tenants of a Halfway House are sober and working towards doing what they need to do to get their lives back on track. This could mean, for example, getting one's GED, finding employment, etc.

Halfway Houses in Challenge are run by people who in most cases were once tenants of the house. The length of time a person is allowed to live at the Halfway House can vary, but it's typically anywhere from a month to a couple of years. Residents must undergo drug and alcohol testing before entering the house, and this testing will continue regularly to make sure there isn't any drug or alcohol use in the house or addiction problems that would be more effectively addressed in a drug or alcohol rehab facility.
