Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Programs - Fresno, CA.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people who do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol treatment in Fresno, this program will cover certain treatment programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain kinds of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the costs for outpatient drug and alcohol treatment. This includes outpatient care, therapy, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications administered by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for people who want additional health insurance apart from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
