Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
