Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people that do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehab in Orlando, this program may cover certain rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different types of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient substance abuse rehab. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
