Military Insurance - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Facilities - Hinesville, GA.

The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 years of age or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to civilian health care professionals within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can choose a primary doctor and obtain referrals to organizations that provide specialty care.

Through TRICARE, military members can receive drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in Hinesville. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other rehab services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some restrictions. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but inpatient services for detox are restricted to 7 days. An inpatient or partial hospitalization following detox will only be authorized if it is a Tricare approved facility, and there are time restrictions as to how long military members are allowed to remain in rehab.
