The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to advance the mental health of the nation. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug given are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted people.
