There are programs available in or near Jenkinsburg that cater to both methadone and buprenorphine clients only, medications that are used in what is known as opioid maintenance therapy. At centers which treat methadone and buprenorphine clients only, treatment therapies are limited beyond managing the medication and the main treatment goal is to manage the physical symptoms of their dependence. Some centers do provide a limited amount of counseling and group therapy as auxiliary services, and it is encouraged.
