The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
