The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Opioid treatment facilities accredited by SAMSHA need to get licensed also by their own state.
