The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to advance the mental health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the administering of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug given are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs that help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent individuals.
