Substance abuse facilities for Military Vets are central for the mental health and overall stability of Veterans of all branches of the armed forces. Because substance abuse and other mental health problems are found at higher than average rates among Vets, it is important that they get the help they need due to such high rates of suicide also associated with these disorders among our Vets.

Involvement in other support such as AA and other support groups is encouraged. Medications are also available in some circumstances to help Veterans decrease their tobacco, alcohol, and drug use.
