Military Insurance - Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Facilities - Creston, IA.

The military currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides benefits for retired military who are 60 or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to civilian health care providers within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can choose a primary doctor and get referrals to organizations that offer specialty care.

Through TRICARE, members of the military can obtain substance abuse rehabilitation services in Creston. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other treatment services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there are likely to be some restrictions. Military insurance pays for both outpatient and inpatient, but inpatient services for detox are restricted to no more than 7 days. Partial hospitalization or impatient treatment following detox will only be authorized if it is an approved treatment center, and there are time restrictions as to how long military insurance carriers will be allowed to stay in rehab. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is commonly permitted. In additional to this, there are 60 group therapy sessions and 15 family therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which occur on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has finished other rehabilitation services such as outpatient or inpatient treatment.
